The New £100 million, purpose designed, Stobhill Hospital is due to be operational by 2009. When complete, it will provide state-of-the-art health facilities for the people of Glasgow in a modern care system. This project is a key component of the overall modernisation of Glasgow’s acute hospitals that will see investments totalling over £750m in the next six years.
Patients will experience a new era in care and comfort with well-equipped treatment areas and consulting rooms, state-of-the-art theatres and modern, airy waiting areas.
It is estimated that in one year alone, the hospital will care for 400,000 patients from the North and East of Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire and further afield.
It will be one of Scotland’s largest hospitals covering four floors and an area the size of 30,000 square metres.
VB Contracts have been contracted to complete all brick and blockwork on the site.
