The City of Edinburgh Council has awarded a £180m Public Private Partnersgip schools project to Axiom Education. One of the schools covered by this project is for the new build Holyrood High School in Duddingston, Edinburgh.

The Axiom Education consortium consists of ABN-AMRO Global Infrastructure Fund (equity), ABN-AMRO Bank and SMBC (funders); Laing O’Rourke (construction) and Mitie (facilities management).

Work has begun on site and the new build construction is expected to be completed by January 2010.

VB Contracts will be providing all the brick and block work for the new school.
