West Lothian Council has awarded their £60m schools project to HDM Schools Solutions Limited. The project comprises the construction of two new build secondary schools, Deans Community High School and Armadale Academy, and the Facilities Management contract for the schools.

Dawn Construction, Hochtief and Mackenzie Partnership established HDM School Solutions Ltd as a Special Purpose Company to deliver this project.

The project at Deans Community High School involves replacing all existing facilities and enhanced by a wide range of new facilities including additional classrooms, dance studio, swimming pool with spectator facilities, full size all-weather synthetic pitch and outdoor changing facility.

Work has begun on site and the new build construction works will be completed by August 2009.

VB Contracts will be providing all the brick and block work for the new school.
